Are you a Marketing professional looking for a whole new way of working? Join Whole Foods Market as a Marketing Team Leader (Department Manager).
We are looking for a Marketing Team Leader responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for our soon to be open Darien store in CT. The MTL will coordinate all internal and external marketing and promotional efforts including community relations and public relations, in-store signage, collateral, information, events, and demos in order to build awareness and market share for Whole Foods Market in Darien, CT and surrounding areas. The MTL will also be responsible for managing all social media platforms such as Face Book and Twitter which consist of possessing writing skills for regular updates and communications as well as the ability to upload and share documents and information.
The person in this position will work with Regional Marketing and Store Leadership to develop objectives and strategies and to execute plans. Responsibilities include the implementation of national, regional, and store marketing programs. This candidate will take direction from regional teams and implement/manage programs that are generated from a regional level. The MTL will often need to work closely with outside public relations and advertising agencies.
This is a high volume, high visibility opportunity. The candidate must be extremely organized and diplomatic with an ability to work well under pressure.
Must work closely with other CT locations to garner maximum impact of marketing/ event opportunities and budgets.
Must be able to provide leadership for marketing team, manage store marketing budgets and donation process, and measure and evaluate programs. Work closely with product Team Leaders.

Responsibilities Include:
• Continue to build relationships within the community (schools, charities, local greenmarkets etc)
• Develop marketing strategy and written action plans to achieve store specific objectives.
• Oversee store level events, media relations, community relations, local advertising and promotions.
• Implement and support regional and national marketing programs.
• Manage aspects of national, regional and store PR opportunities and events. Coordinate interviews, store tours, photo shoots, etc.
• Plan, promote and execute community relations programs.
• Manage store marketing and donation budgets.
• Manage sign collateral, store promotional and marketing materials, and programs.
• Manage social media platforms such as Face Book and Twitter
• Analyze and report on success of marketing programs.
• Create and maintain monthly event calendar.
• Oversee demo program.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must have/be:
• Minimum of two years marketing experience with a focus on public relations and event management
• Prioritization skills and the ability to follow direction and implement ideas.
• Ability to interact with the media.
• Ability to interact with national and regional WFM Leadership
• Strong writing, oral, time management and budget management skills.
• Self motivated, detail oriented and organized
• Background in the food industry and retail experience desirable
• Flexible schedule.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Prior knowledge of Milford, CT and surrounding communities a plus.
